Temporarily suspending new registrations
Effective immediately, new account registrations on PixServe are temporarily suspended. Existing accounts, hosted images, and all direct links continue to work exactly as before. This change only affects new signups.
Why we're doing this:
Over the past several months, we've been in communication with regulatory authorities regarding enhanced identity verification requirements for user-generated content platforms. While we cannot share the specifics of those discussions, the outcome is clear: our current email-only verification process does not meet the evolving compliance standards we need to satisfy.
Rather than continue accepting new registrations under a system we know will need to change, we've decided to pause signups entirely while we build a compliant identity verification flow. This is not a decision we made lightly — PixServe has always prioritized low-friction access — but regulatory compliance is not optional.
What's affected:
- New account registrations are suspended
- The signup page is temporarily unavailable
What's NOT affected:
- Existing accounts can still log in and upload
- All hosted images remain online and accessible
- Direct hotlinks continue to work everywhere
- API access for existing verified developers is unchanged
We don't have a firm timeline for when registrations will reopen. Our priority is getting the new verification system right, not rushing it out. We'll post an update on this blog as soon as we have a target date.
We know this is frustrating, especially for new users who want to try PixServe. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have questions, reach out to support@pixserve.cc.
